Good to Know

The small details, gathered calmly in one place.

We want everything to feel easy. If a question isn't answered here, message us anytime — we'd rather you ask than wonder.

Arriving & leaving

Check-in
From 3:00 PM. Earlier is sometimes possible — just ask.
Check-out
By 11:00 AM. Need a little more time? Message us in advance.
Welcome
You'll be met by our local family or staff and shown around calmly. Nothing complicated.
Getting here
Most guests arrive via Dumaguete (ferry to Siquijor port, ~1 hr). Siquijor also has its own small airport — we can arrange a transfer from either the port or the airport.

While you're here

Wi-Fi
Starlink high-speed internet throughout the house. Reliable for video calls and remote work.
Drinking water
Safe drinking water is always provided — please refill, no need to buy bottles.
Kitchens
Fully equipped indoor kitchen + outdoor kitchen. Cook freely; the local market is a short ride away.
Cleaning
On-site cleaning is available. Let us know your preferred rhythm.
Beach gear
Towels, snorkels, and a few odds and ends are in the gear cupboard. Use whatever you need.
Power
Type A/B outlets, 220V. Brief power blips happen on the island — not unusual, nothing to worry about.

Family & safety

Children
The garden is fenced. Bay water is shallow and calm. The house is genuinely child-friendly.
Safety essentials
First aid kit and fire extinguisher are on hand — we'll show you where on arrival.
Quiet hours
Minalulan is a real village. We keep things gentle after 10 PM out of respect for neighbours.

Getting around

Motorbike rental
We can arrange honest local rentals. ~₱550–650/day depending on the bike.
Boat trips
Hidden Beach and snorkel trips can be set up directly with boatmen from our barangay.
Guides & drivers
If you'd rather not drive, a half-day private driver is easy to arrange — just ask.

A few honest notes

Island time is real

Things move at their own pace here. A delayed boat or a slow kitchen isn't a problem — it's part of the place. We promise to always communicate honestly when something is outside our control.

A quiet, local village

Minalulan is a real community — church, basketball court, daycare, families. Not a resort strip. If you came for nightlife, this won't be the right fit. If you came to slow down, you've landed well.
